American Dollar or Indian Rs which is more powerful ???

Now I have just finished the book" Dollar Bahu" written by the great Author, Writer Sudha Murty.From few days i have not written any blog due to my house hold cores and reading this book which I have already mentioned before. Actually this is my frist time reading of this great Author.Its a wonderful story and want to complete her full series of it.
This was the story between the America and India.Mainly based on "Dollars' which would make a magic change of a middle class family by changing their relationship, perspective,culture, keeping away poverty etc.Its was a story where Chandra was an elder son of Samanna and Gouramma and Girish was a younger son and Surabhi was their youngest daughter.It was a middle class family staying in Bangalore and Shamanna was a govt school teacher so the need of the family's expenditure or having good lavish lifestyle wasn't possible in that income but Gouramma always wanted a lavish lifestyle a well built own house ,gold , diamond ornaments,pure expensive silk saree etc.She wanted to mix her in royal gathering where these all needs were normally showed off to everyone and those who were not able to do that then she would be humiliated by those high society women.This behaviour wasn't atall easily acceptable by Gouramma .She had trained her children to be like that and she thought that to be a part of high society woman she must would show off that her own children were staying in America because it had no doubt that it was a reachest country among the world and had the power of "Dollars "what everyone dreamt for and acceptable allover the countries.For that reason Chandru went America for the sake of his family and for the benefit of Dollars it was possible to send huge bundle of money to fulfill Gouramma's all needs and poverty which wasn't possible in India because still in India all population are more than jobs,all roads are dusty, muddy, always power cuts,water defecency and the major thing is poverty which is calculated in RS not in Dollars. So being a practical he ignored his first love and had settled in US.Although he had missed his country, friends, everything but it was gone faded infront of Dollars by that he could buy anything else .It was a fantasy world for him as well as for his mother where no frashtration,no sorrows,no guiltiness of not having money no strict rules or regulations,norms were there.There no-one could be asked whether she was widow, single parent or divorcee .It was a amazing place where every hard worker were inspired to move on his or her career and appreciated by them.They were quite broad minded and had that much of flexibility to achieve our goals.
To awar all this Chandru went America by compromising his frist love of getting married to Jamuna who had belong from a rich business family and her parents agreed to this marriage proposal for the being of American Citizenship of Chandru.But Gouramma had not that capability of understanding their well act behaviour.On the other hand Girish got married to Vinuta who actually was a dream girl of Chandru who met Vinuta in Dharwad . Dharwad was situated in Karnataka where Chandru poseted and lived as a paying guest to Vinura's house.But getting the opportunity of going to America was his dreams came true.So he ignored his love and moved on but after so many years when he realised that it was too late because that time she already got married to his younger brother Girish who was a well kind hearted , helpful, ordinary a clerk in a private bank.Who gracefully felt in love by seeking Vinuta at frist time in a bus and arrangely their marriage was fixed and done.
But Gouramma was not satisfied with her younger son's Marriage because of she had failed to get "Dowry"(a lum sumb amount of money taken by groom's family from bride family due to marriage) from her side . Because Vinuta had lost her parents in childhood.So no one was there for taking her libality.But her mother in-law Gouramma was really happy with her elder son's Marriage . Because she already got everything by spending Dollars and fulfilled her dreams and was quite satisfied with Jamuna's status, money , lifestyle and all.She was overwhelmed ,amazed , surprised , speechless by the first time seeking the new branded amazing car,the mansion ,their way of living, lifestyle, mode of talking with American Accent .After all she was "Dollar Bahu".So Gouramma didn't dare to tell any negative comments towards her .She always compared Vinuta with Jamuna and humiliated Vinuta by teasing her .After adjusting all the house hold cores or these constant criticism by her mother in-law or sister in-law ,she could not get any tender feelings , affection, sympathy from them .She could remember when she got pregnant there was no gifts,no blessings even not a tender word if compared to Jamuna .For Jamuna she was a darling to Gouramma because after all she was a "Dollar Bahu". Gouramma was very grateful and hopeful by imaging that their elder son and his wife were very obeyed her and could do anything she wished for.She was flying in the sky of plenty dollars . Actually from which background she came from it was quite normal of fantasizing like that.And her education qualification was also very less to understand the intensity of it.She was very happy and egarly waiting for flying to America.

Few couple of days in America she was very happy and visiting many places by her son but not even understood the actual truth of being invited by Jamuna.She always complemented her by giving gifts or taking care of her newborn baby and expected the same from her but disappointed.
But after staying couple of months in America she realised that she was invited there to take care her son's family . She was seemed to them a Maid nothing like more.But that took too much time to realised the truth behind their well behaved, soft, pleasing behaviour.When she came to know the real face of Jamuna ,she was suddenly shocked and sweating fully but still not even believed the reality.After so many arguments, conflicts, with her husband and son she was able to reach to America but onece had come , she had seen how liberating life could be, away from government indian middle class life.She began to understand that Dollars could buy all the happiness,demand, enjoyment,needs, but not at all the Love and Respect that she got in India.Every bit of moments she was waiting for coming back to her India her own place where all the things were Well known.
Every sides has his own advantages and disadvantages.And here if I am staying in India , being an Indian I should be happy with his all advantages and disadvantages but not can expect an American way of life , same staying in America we can't expect an indian way of life,and should live happily.
Gouramma realised that and thought a new relationship could be made by her with Vinuta.But everything would be okay like before!!!!! Vinuta could forget all the teasing,criticism, humiliation all the past and could forgive?????????
It's a big question to us .If it's really happened in our life then what we will do????? Forget and forgive someone who betrayed us is so easy????? Let me know by your comments.
